"I got this for my nan, but she struggles to write so I help her. I like to ask her one of the prompts and listen. I like to write about it later on, so I can reflect on what she said."

- Megan D., February 2026

The Memory & Story Keepsake Journal is a guided memory journal: a gift that gently invites the people you love to capture their stories in their own handwriting. Inside they'll find:

  • Three ways to use it. They can write their own story, you can sit together and record memories as a shared experience, or it can be used to preserve the story of someone no longer here.
  • Guided prompts across all three paths, so they always know where to begin.
  • Writing pages with dated entries, designed for unhurried, honest writing.
  • A belonging page to dedicate the journal to its person.
  • Support resources if they ever need a little help finding their way in.

This is not a fill-in-the-blanks book. It's a real journal: hardcover soft-touch fabric with gold foil title, gilded page edges, botanical illustrated prompt pages, and a ribbon bookmark. Designed to feel like something worth keeping. Available in tan and deep red.

A meaningful gift for: a milestone birthday, an anniversary, a parent getting older, or anyone whose story deserves to be told.

Free standard shipping Australia-wide on orders over $100. Flat $10 shipping for orders under $100.

Who wrote the prompts? The prompts were written by Nada, Aumoria's founder. They're designed to start with something small and concrete, the way memory actually works. Not "tell me about your childhood" but the kind of question that opens a door without making the page feel too big.

What if they're not sure where to start? That's exactly what the prompts are for. There's a section for each of the three paths, so they always have a starting point. Some people write a page a week. Others write everything in an afternoon. Both work. The journal waits.

How is this different from buying a blank notebook? A blank notebook asks you to come up with everything yourself. This journal does some of that work for you. The prompts make it easier to begin, the dated entries give the writing a shape, and the dedication page makes it feel like something meant for a particular person, not just a place to take notes.

Stories that needed somewhere to live.

"Mum has been filling it in slowly before bed. It reminded her of things she hasn't thought about in a long time, I think it's helping her reflect and see things in a different light. I flicked through and there's stuff in there I've never heard before."

"We asked Mum to fill this out because we wanted to know her story. She now likes to write a story from the prompts and we all chat about it when we see her."

"After Dad retired, he was a bit lost for a time. This was the perfect gift for him. He likes to write about his memories with Mum. She passed away last year. He says he is writing this for us."

How It Works

The Memory and Story Keepsake Journal, ready to be filled in
1

Gift with intention

Give it to someone whose stories deserve to be written down. Or start preserving your own, for the people who come after you.

2

Find the right moment

Wrap it with a note. Set it beside their favourite chair. Or just open the first page and start. No grand beginning needed.

3

Let a prompt do the work

Each page opens with a gentle question. There's no right order. Just a prompt, space to answer, and the stories take shape from there.
