Our Products
Aumoria is a Perth-based business dedicated to helping families preserve the stories of the people they love. We offer two ways to do this depending on how you want to tell the story.
The Legacy Book is our flagship service. You provide voice recordings of the stories, I turn them into a hand-edited hardcover book.
The Forever In Words collection is our range of guided journals and letter writing sets. Beautiful physical products for families who want to capture and express their stories in their own handwriting.
The Legacy Book is a done-for-you service. You record voice stories, upload them to your private portal, and we take care of transcription, editing, design and printing. The result is a customised hardcover book of your family's stories, created by a real person from start to finish.
The Forever In Words collection is self-directed. The journal and letter writing set give you the prompts, the structure and the space to write your own stories or express your own words in your own time. No service involved, just a beautiful product to guide you.
Both exist for the same reason: to help the people you love be remembered properly.
All Aumoria products make meaningful and lasting gifts. Simply select the gift card option on the product page at checkout.
The Legacy Book
Most family archives are fragmented: a box of old photos here, a digital file there, and stories that only exist in someone's mind. An Aumoria Legacy Book is a custom-made hardcover memoir that pairs a loved one's spoken stories with your family photographs.
At its heart, the process is about connection. It's an invitation to sit down and have a meaningful conversation with the people who matter most. We capture the actual personality, humour, and phrasing of the storyteller so their voice is never lost, resulting in a living archive you can hold in your hands.
I do. I'm Nada, the founder of Aumoria. One person, from the first recording to the final page. No team, no contractors, no freelancers. Your family's stories don't pass through anyone else's hands.
We often think of our family stories as always being there, but memories have a way of fading or losing their detail over time. Families choose Aumoria now because they recognise that a legacy is a living thing. Capturing these stories today is a gift of future-proofing, ensuring that the grandchildren and great-grandchildren you haven't even met yet will eventually be able to hear their ancestors' wisdom in a beautiful, tactile format.
Those services send weekly prompts and use AI to compile the responses into a book. The result is functional, but it feels like it. The voice gets flattened, the design is templated, and the whole process takes up to a year of consistent input from your loved one.
Aumoria works differently. Your book begins with five recorded conversations — that's all you need to get started, though you can add more anytime before we go to print. I edit every story by hand to preserve the way your mum actually speaks, and design every page from scratch around what she's said.
The book you receive is unique to your family because it was made that way, by a person paying attention. The difference shows up the moment you open it.
We've found that many families never start a memoir because the idea of a whole life story feels overwhelming. By focusing on just five meaningful stories at the start, the process becomes manageable and enjoyable. It ensures you actually finish the project rather than leaving it as another item on your to-do list. Think of it as a curated volume of your most cherished highlights: a high-impact starting point that captures the essence of a life without the stress of writing a full-length manuscript. You can add more stories anytime before we go to print.
Five is where you start, not where you stop. You can add more stories anytime before we go to print, at no extra cost. Some families finish with five and feel complete. Others record fifteen. Your book grows with the conversation. We can print up to 300 pages.
There is no deadline to complete your book. Most families submit their stories over a few weeks, while some get it all done in a weekend. There is no right or wrong way, just what works for you.
We will send you a gentle nudge if we don't hear from you after 2 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months. If we don't hear from you at any of those check-ins we will respectfully wait until you are ready. Once you've purchased the Legacy Book we hold your space and do our utmost to help you through the process. You can reach us at nada@aumoria.com or visit our Support Page at any time.
There are no ongoing subscription fees or hidden costs. Once you purchase the Legacy Book, we will hold your place until you are ready to start.
We offer two ways to capture your memories depending on what feels most natural for your family.
Option 1: Record the storyteller. Once a prompt sparks a memory during your conversation, you can record your loved one recounting the story directly into your smartphone.
Option 2: Record the memory yourself. If your loved one is camera-shy or the environment is too noisy, you can record a voice note yourself immediately after the conversation. Just recount the story as you heard it while the details are fresh.
Once you have your audio file, simply upload it directly to your secure Aumoria portal from your phone or computer. We take it from there.
The Aumoria process is designed specifically for people who don't consider themselves writers. You don't need to prepare a script or worry about grammar. Our prompts are conversational: simple, sensory questions designed to spark a memory, not a book report. Because you are recording your voice rather than writing onto a blank page, the stories flow naturally, just as if you were telling them to a friend over coffee. We then take care of the writing part for you.
This is why we provide a curated library of prompts. They are designed to spark specific, vivid memories rather than broad life summaries. The goal isn't to conduct a formal interview, but to simply start a conversation. Most people find that once they begin talking about a specific moment, like their first car or favourite childhood meal, the stories flow naturally. The most meaningful part of the Aumoria process is often the time you spend together just listening. The prompts are simply the key that opens the door.
Around 5 minutes works well — long enough for a real story to unfold, short enough not to feel like an interview. Five recordings of that length usually makes a beautifully complete book.
If you have more to say, go ahead. You can add more stories anytime before we go to print, and there's no cap on how many you include. We can print books up to 300 pages long.
Absolutely. We love it when families work together to capture memories. To keep the process simple and ensure the final book is cohesive, we require one person to act as the Lead Curator. While siblings or relatives can send their audio clips and photos to you, the Lead Curator is responsible for uploading the final selection to the Aumoria portal. This ensures you maintain total control over which stories and photos make it into the final volume. If you'd like to recognise others' help, we can include Story Credits for each chapter in the final design.
Yes — twice.
Your first edited story. After you upload your first recording, I'll edit it by hand and send you a draft so you can see the tone, the voice, and how your Legacy Book will feel. This is the moment to flag anything that doesn't feel right before we go further.
Your full proof. Once the remaining stories and photographs are designed into the book, you'll receive a digital proof of every page. Nothing prints until you've approved it.
The Legacy Book is a completely custom product and the timeline depends on when you submit your stories. There's no deadline — record one story this weekend and the next whenever you're ready. Your portal stays open and your stories wait for you. Most families take between a month and several months, depending on how often you can sit down together. Once your final recording and photos are in, allow approximately 4 weeks for editing, design, printing and delivery.
If you hesitate or the process feels harder than expected, email me. We'll work it out together.
Your privacy matters as much to me as the stories themselves. Recordings and photographs are uploaded through a private portal that only you and I can access. Your family's stories are never shared, sold, or used for any other purpose than creating your Legacy Book. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
We hold your files for 30 days after your book is shipped, in case you decide to order additional copies. All files are permanently deleted after that period. We will contact you by email before deletion.
This is the most common way Aumoria is used: a daughter recording her Mum, a son recording his Dad. By default I edit the stories into a first-person narrative so the book reads as a direct memoir from your loved one, in their voice. If you'd prefer the story to be told from your perspective instead, just let me know when you upload.
For digital photos: Simply upload them directly from your phone or computer to your Aumoria portal.
For physical prints: Use your smartphone to take a clear, well-lit photo of the original print in natural daylight.
We will handle any minor cropping, colour and tone adjustments to ensure they sit perfectly alongside your stories.
The charm of a Legacy Book often lies in the character of old photographs, including their imperfections. While we will do our best to adjust and crop your images for the best result, the final print quality depends on the original source. An old, grainy, or slightly faded photo tells its own story of time passing. We embrace those textures as part of your family's history.
An Aumoria Legacy Book is first and foremost about the stories. If you only have one or two photos for a particular story, or none at all, we can use elegant typography, meaningful quotes, or classic design elements to make the page feel complete. A single powerful photo paired with a great story often has more impact than a dozen snapshots.
We recommend 2-3 photos per story, around 10-15 photos in total. If you have more you'd like to include, just let us know and we can discuss options.
Size: A classic 8 x 8 inch square format, substantial enough to feel like a memoir on a coffee table but compact enough to fit on any bookshelf.
Cover: A premium tactile linen wrap in a selection of timeless neutral earth tones. Modern photo covers are also available.
Yes. You can choose from a selection of premium linen covers in timeless neutral earth tones including Cream, Slate, Blush, Espresso and Mint. Our covers feature a debossed inset photo on the front, creating a tactile finish where your favourite family photograph is physically recessed into the linen.
If you prefer a more modern look, we also offer a printed hardcover option with a photo of your choice extending across the front and back of the book.
Your Legacy Book can be as short as 30 pages or as long as 300 pages. Five stories typically makes for a lovely book of around 30 pages, but there's no upper limit on how many stories you add — the book grows with you.
Yes. Because the curation phase is already complete, additional copies are available at a significantly reduced rate of $79. You can request extra copies during your final design review or after your first book has been delivered.
The Legacy Book includes free shipping within Australia. International shipping is calculated at checkout.
Once your final proof is approved, allow approximately 4 weeks for printing and delivery. Your book is first sent to us for a personal quality inspection before being carefully packaged and shipped to you.
When you place your order, you'll record one story to start. I'll edit it and send you a first draft, so you can see what your Legacy Book will look and feel like.
You can cancel for a full refund at any point before that draft arrives — if your mum decides not to record, if the process feels too hard, or if you simply change your mind.
You can also cancel after the draft arrives. If it isn't what you hoped for and you'd rather not keep going, email me at nada@aumoria.com and I'll refund you in full.
If you do want to keep going, we'll keep working on it together until you're happy. Your Legacy Book doesn't go to the printer until every page is right.
Every book is inspected by hand before dispatch. In the rare case yours arrives damaged in transit, email me within 7 days and I'll send a replacement at no cost.
