Fiona came to us because she wanted to leave something for her grandkids, something that held a piece of her and her history.
Fiona moved to Australia while her parents, whom she was very close to, remained in the UK. Today she dotes over her grandchildren but wanted them to really know her as the person before she became their "Granny." There is so much she wants to share with them when the time is right.
In her own words:
"Having my own Mum and Dad pass, you get to an age where you want to ask more questions. But they've already gone, and you realise you should have asked when they were still around."
Her Legacy Book is full of stories of when she first left home, how she met Grandad, the life-altering decisions she made along the way, and how that has made her the person she is today. It is a collection of stories that defined her, rather than a full chronological life memoir. She wanted it that way.
Her book is dedicated to her grandchildren, and she can be comforted that she has left a small part of her so that one day, when they're ready, they can understand her better.
If you've been carrying the same thought, about your own story, or someone you love whose stories you don't want to lose, we can help.
